Who We AreAgriCap Financial Corporation's management team consists of individuals who bring over 60 years of collective experience in the Commercial Finance, Sales and Marketing and Agribusiness arenas. Richard (Cody) Kostkas - CEORichard Kostkas began his career in public accounting specializing in agriculture and later formed a successful mortgage brokerage in Carmel, California, an area surrounded by substantial agricultural operations. He co-founded iTradeNetwork, an online agricultural marketplace which today is highly regarded and utilized by some of the largest food suppliers and retailers in the country. In 2001, Richard joined with Rick Jones in forming AgriCap to provide financing in the agricultural sector. Richard's mortgage expertise, accounting knowledge, organizational abilities and entrepreneurial skills have been key components to AgriCap’s success. Richard holds a B.A. in Business Accounting & Finance from Westminster College. Rick Jones - PresidentRick Jones began his career in finance 24 years ago with Westinghouse Credit's floor planning group, where he moved from field auditor to senior credit analyst. He joined GE Capital four years later and became a senior credit officer. Two years later, he began his factoring career when he was recruited by Bank of Boston's Los Angeles factoring group in a senior credit capacity. After five years, he joined Bank of America's factoring group where, over the next eight years, Rick managed a large client loan portfolio, co-wrote national credit policy, participated in re-engineering the factoring group, and led the company in business development as a new business officer. Rick joined Richard Kostkas in forming Terra Associates and AgriCap Financial in 2001. Rick has been instrumental in organizing and implementing credit policies and procedures and has led new business development; Rick is responsible for monitoring all clients’ performance. Rick holds a B.S. in Marketing from Penn State. Sharon Goldberg - Vice-President/Senior Account ExecutiveSharon Goldberg, an expert in commercial lending and underwriting, has over 25 years of financial expertise, holding positions at large institutional powerhouses such as Bank of America, General Electric, Fidelity Bank (now a part of Wachovia Bank), and Fidelcor (now a part of CIT), as well as running her own consultancy. In her role as Vice-President and Senior Account Executive, Sharon in charge of factoring operations, which include responding to client requests and proposing a course of action, monitoring economic and industry trends, and managing all aspects of assigned client portfolios. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys traveling and NASCAR. Sharon graduated with a B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and earned an MBA from Cal Poly Pomona. Herman E. Mayorga – Vice-President/Credit ManagerHerman E. Mayorga has been in the factoring industry for over 27 years, beginning his career as a credit analyst with Manufacturers Hanover. Herman later joined Security Pacific Bank (now Bank of America) where he was rapidly promoted through a series of management positions with increasing responsibilities, gaining cross-functional experience in corporate finance, marketing, strategic planning, and product management, and ultimately rose to Vice-President and Client Relationship Manager, in charge of the furniture and carpet portfolios. Herman was also a major contributor in structuring and negotiating a strategic partnership between Bank of America and Bancomer (located in Mexico City). In 2000, Herman joined HSBC’s Factoring Division in Los Angeles where he was responsible for credit underwriting account management and credit review for various industry portfolios. In 2006, Herman joined AgriCap and currently manages the credit portfolio of domestic and international accounts. Herman attended the University of New Mexico. Peter H. Tam - Vice-President/MarketingPeter Tam joined AgriCap in December 2005. Prior to AgriCap, Peter was with the Los Angeles Times for 6 years, starting as a Senior Marketing Analyst before his promotion to Marketing Manager, where he managed all marketing, advertising, and strategic initiatives of the Los Angeles Times’ freestanding insert (FSI) and shared mail program. He also worked on other projects including expanding revenue opportunities for consumer electronics, sporting goods, and dot-com advertisers, and building readership and revenue of the Business, CareerBuilder, and Highway 1 newspaper sections. Before the Los Angeles Times, Peter worked as an assistant media buyer at a boutique ad agency whose clients included Starbucks, and as a research analyst/consultant supporting U.S. Air Force programs. Peter graduated with an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Economics and minor in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. |
