Case Studies

1. Shrimp Exporter

Client:  A shrimp exporter who’s been in business over 20 years, with sales averaging $1.2 million/year. The exporter owns a facility to process IQF (individual quick freeze) shrimp.

Problem: The exporter has purchase orders from clients, but needs cash in order to pay their shrimp suppliers.

Solution: AgriCap extended the exporter a $500,000 line of credit to purchase invoices, giving them working capital to pay its suppliers.  The exporter is currently working at full capacity and has tripled its sales.

2. Broccoli Exporter

Client:  A broccoli exporter who has been in business for 12 years, with total revenue over $3 million.  They have an IQF facility.

Problem: The exporter’s facility was working at 50% of its capacity, its bank lines were saturated, and it was losing money due to overhead costs.

Solution:  AgriCap approved a $1 million credit line for the exporter’s customers, which allowed it to triple its sales without affecting his overhead expenses. This allowed for an increase in sales and doubling its net profit.
